A parade and an unexpected after-gig
Gorgeous weather for the Sevens Parade this year – hooray!
We were right at the front of the parade again this year, which was nice. Huge crowds, lots of sunshine and a whole lot of happy people. We love the Sevens!
Once we’d finished the parade itself, instead of gathering at the entrance to Civic Square like we normally do, to drum in all the teams (which we love, and they love – especially the ones who can dance!) we got shunted off to the side of Civic Square and ended up on the walkway right round the back, just above the cafe. Couldn’t see what was happening in the square and they couldn’t see (or hear) us. Hmmmm. OK. Never mind, we thought, we’ll play anyway! So we did.
